Little Athletics Victoria run Official and Coaching Courses every year to equip our parent volunteers with the fundamental skills they need to officiate and/or coach athletics to children.

Introduction to Teaching Little Athletics Skills (ITLAS)
A non-accredited practical course designed for Little Athletics and conducted on behalf of Little Athletics Australia, ITLAS is held as a practical, face-to-face session for participants wanting to teach Little Athletics event-specific skills. ITLAS is ideal for those wanting to help at Centre level as an Age Group Manager or Assistant and parents keen to be Event Officials.
Participants will be shown the skills, drills, and activities relevant to the target age group of primary school age competitors.
Cost: $70.00 + GameDay processing fee. Includes all practical sessions, Interactive PDF coaching resources and manual, handouts, and Centre Officiating Handbook.

Centre Helper and Volunteer Training
The Centre Helper and Volunteer Training will walk participants through how to assist and/or conduct athletics events at Centre level. This training is ideal for all parents to enable them to assist in week-to-week competition, and/or committee members looking to expand their knowledge of conducting track and field events.

Sunday 17th September the course is being held at Whittlesea City and on Sunday 15th October at Diamond Valley.
Introduction to Starting Course
A practical, face-to-face session for participants wanting to further their knowledge and/or experience of the starting discipline. This course is ideal for those who have already completed the Centre Helper and Volunteer Training, or who would like to specialise as a starter.

OnTrack Training
OnTrack is designed to give young competitors (U6-U8) an opportunity to experience and enjoy athletics. Offering fundamental skill development, OnTrack develops a strong foundation on which to build track and field specific skills.
This course would be ideal for parents who would like to assist in the running of our OnTrack program.
Cost: Free for those involved at Centre level. Includes practical training, program manual, and handouts.
